OCR

An optical character recognition system for handwritten English, Bengali and Devanagari characters.

Installation

Step 1: Install Anaconda

Step 2: Update Anaconda

conda update conda
conda update anaconda

Step 3: Create and activate environment

conda create -n ocr python=3.5
conda activate ocr

Step 4: Install dependencies

conda install theano
pip install flask h5py keras matplotlib numpy opencv-python

Step 5: Clone OCR and start server

git clone https://github.com/prasunroy/ocr.git
cd ocr
python app.py

OCR server runs at http://localhost:5000/ by default.
